Design of the Zone

Panama Teleport is located beside the Tocumen International Airport. The area, where the Zone is being developed, contains 100 hectares owned by Panama Teleport Corp. The land has been segmented into 24 blocks, according to the type of activities, as outlined in the following chart:

Buildings were designed according to the type of activity. Basically, five prototypes will be built. These prototypes are:

Alpha Prototype I

A 4,530m2 indoor area and 510m2 outdoor area facility. Polivalent building to be used for trade offices, showrooms, hi-tech manufacturing & assembling, and international services.

Alpha prototype II

A three-story building with basement parking and freight elevators, Polivalent building to be used for trade offices, showrooms, hi-tech manufacturing & assembling, and international services.

Alpha Prototype III

A 14,150 m2 seven-story building with basement parking, with internal freight handling and freight elevators servicing the three floors of the industrial area. The remaining four floors are for offices, show rooms and hi-tech services.

Beta Prototype

A 13,895 m2 seven-story building operating as an intelligent building. This facility will have office space and show rooms with the availability of hi-tech services

Delta Prototype

A 5,656 m2 seven-story buildings. Each floor can operate as an independent research laboratory. It includes an autonomous residual water treatment system. The specific use for this type of building is scientific research.


SUPPORT BUILDINGS FOR THE MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THE ZONE

Central Administration Building and Convention Center

An 88,000 m2 ten-story building . The main floor will be distributed to provide two auditoriums, conference rooms, meeting rooms, a large reception hall, a hall for the permanent display of goods and services, and an area for the operation of an international stock market. The second floor will be dedicated exclusively to the permanent display of goods and services. The remaining eight floors will be for offices of the zone's business activities and firms providing goods and services abroad.
