Procedure to Establish Operations Within the Zone

I. Request to Panama Teleport (via airmail, fax or electronic mail) the legal dispositions, contracts, terms & conditions, rates & prices, and all other requirements to establish operations within the zone.

II. After accepting all terms & conditions, send a letter to Panama Teleport, making a formal request of admission to the zone.
In this letter, the natural or juridical person (enterprise) must provide its legal identification and specify its address, along with means in which it can be contacted. Also, must declare the activities it intends to develop in the zone.

The letter must be accompanied by:

1. In the case of natural person: an authenticated copy of ID or passport. In the case of an enterprise: an authenticated copy of its charter (social pact), with its modifications (if any) and the certification of its validity. This document must list the enterprise's legal representatives.
   
   
2. An executive summary about the operation's feasibility study, including the following:
   
   
   • Activity or type of production to be performed.
   • Origin and detailed description of the raw materials, parts, equipment, machinery, accessories, and others to be utilized.
   • Number of employment positions, and classification of the human resources that will be required in the short, medium, and long term.
   • Amount of initial investment and future investments.
   • A chronological program of execution.
     
     
3. Bank reference of the enterprise and/or the legal representative of the enterprise. The reference may also be for a different enterprise, but with the same legal representatives.
   
   
4. Two (2) photographs of the legal representative. (Photograph must be standard ID size)
   
   
   

III. Panama Teleport will evaluate the application and make the admission decision. This admission process will take no longer than three (3) workdays. If application is accepted, Panama Teleport will issue a certificate of admission to the enterprise. At the same time, Panama Teleport will also provide the enterprise with the zone's admission contract, and the rent or sales contract of the building or building space that it will utilize. The enterprise shall proceed to review, sign, and make the admission payment.

IV. Once it issues the certificate of admission, Panama Teleport will request, to the National Commission of Free Zones, for the applicant's operation license. The National Commission will take no longer than 30 workdays to issue the license.
